Aja Prater is the Manager of Talent and Operations at Attuned Education Partners. Previously, Aja served as the Dean of Operations for KIPP Legacy Preparatory School in Houston, Texas.
As Dean of Operations, Aja served on the school leadership team; oversaw operations including technology, communication, assessment, and dimensions of school culture; and owned all strategic planning and project management for the school.
Prior to becoming Dean of Operations, Aja served as Dean of Instruction, leading teacher development including observation and feedback as well as content planning meetings. Aja began her career as an educator as a founding teacher at KIPP Legacy and supported the school’s growth from a founding class of approximately 180 students to its current size of nearly 1,000 students, making it one of the largest schools in the KIPP network.
Aja holds a B.S. in Applied Learning and Development with English as a Second Language certification from The University of Texas at Austin. She is also a graduate of the KIPP Foundation School Leadership Programming strands for both Leadership Team and Teacher Leaders as well as KIPP Houston’s Emerging Leaders program.
