Kai Ivory is a Deputy Chief of Academics at Attuned Education Partners. Prior to this role, Kai served as the Associate Director of District Partnerships for EF+Math, a program of AERDF. In this role, Kai worked alongside district partners to support their co-design relationships with researchers and developers in creating and studying innovative math tools designed to greatly improve student math outcomes.
Prior to her work with EF+Math, Kai served as the Director of Elementary Math and Science for DC Public Schools. While at DCPS, she oversaw the implementation of new math standards and curriculum, led the design and facilitation of math and science professional development in the district, and oversaw the training and professional development of math instructional coaches. During her decade-long tenure, DCPS saw significant growth in elementary math achievement scores.
Kai began her career as an elementary teacher in Camden, New Jersey. She holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Leadership from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.
