Natalie Gordon is a Chief Schools Officer at Attuned Education Partners. She has over 25 years of experience in urban education, with a particular expertise in school start-up in both district and charter contexts.
Prior to joining Attuned, Natalie served as an Instructional Superintendent in DC Public Schools supervising 12 middle schools. During Natalie’s tenure as Instructional Superintendent, schools in her network achieved double-digit increases in proficiency on state assessments in ELA and math. Her school leadership experience includes founding both Friendship Tech Prep, a charter school, as well as Jefferson Middle School Academy, a district-run school in DCPS. Natalie also served as both assistant principal and principal of DC Prep’s Edgewood Campus. The schools Natalie led achieved significant increases in state assessment scores and school climate metrics. Prior to becoming a school leader, Natalie worked for Teach for America as a corps member advisor, summer institute faculty director, and regional recruiter. She also has served as both the Education Director and Executive Director of DC SCORES and as manager of the DC Teaching Fellows Program.
Natalie began her education career as a middle school teacher in New York City . Natalie holds an Executive MBA from Georgetown University, an M.S.A. in Educational Administration from Trinity College, and a B.A. in History from Washington University in St. Louis. She also is a graduate of the New Leaders for New Schools Principal program and the Teach For America School Systems Leaders Fellowship.
