Jessica Long is the Deputy Chief of Adult Learning at Attuned Education Partners. Previously, she worked for four years as a district leader for Denver Public Schools (DPS), both as the Director of School Data Culture and as a Secondary Regional Math Specialist. In both roles, she designed adult learning and developed resources to support school improvement during a time of DPS’ rapid improvement. Jessica also has served as the founding principal of two high-performing autonomous schools.
As the founding principal of McAuliffe Manual Middle School, Jessica led the first replication of an innovation school in Colorado, bringing a high-performing middle school option into an historically underserved community. Jessica also served as the founding principal of Denver School of Science and Technology (DSST) Green Valley Ranch Middle School, which has consistently been rated one of the top performing middle schools both in Denver and Colorado.
Prior to being a DSST school leader, Jessica served as a math teacher and department chair during the period when DSST students made more than two years of growth on their ACT scores. Jessica started her teaching career in New Mexico as a Teach for America corps member. She holds an M.A. in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Denver and a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
