Marie Huxley is a Chief Strategy Officer at Attuned Education Partners. Previously, Marie was the Chief of Schools at KIPP Public Schools Northern California leading the Academics, School Culture, Special Education and Principal Supervision teams serving 17 elementary, middle and high schools. At KIPP she set and led regional priorities with innovative strategies to launch and operate joyful and academically excellent schools which were some of the highest performing open enrollment public schools in their local school districts and across the state.
Prior to KIPP Marie held both school and district leadership roles in the San Francisco Bay Area improving student outcomes toward educational equity. As an external support provider at Partners in School Innovation and the Bay Area School Reform Collaborative she coached partner schools and districts to use a continuous improvement method, develop robust professional learning systems, and build understanding of the impact of race, class, culture, gender and power dynamics on students of color.
Marie began her career as a high school social studies and Spanish teacher in Los Angeles. She is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara and holds a Masters Degree in Education from UCLA’s Teacher Education Program and a Masters Degree of Educational Administration from San Francisco State University.
