Tommy Micah is the Director of Student Culture and Well-being at Attuned Education Partners. With over 14 years of experience in education, he specializes in creating vibrant student focused school communities.
Previously, Tommy performed several roles at Achievement First Charter Schools in Brooklyn, NY. Most recently, he served as Director of Student Experience and oversaw the school experience for over 14,000 students in 41 schools by researching and developing a vision of excellence for school culture, creating and facilitating professional learning for teachers and leaders, and partnering with Superintendents to create and facilitate school leader coaching plans. These resources and his direct skill building provided teachers and leaders with the tools and strategies to lead classrooms in which students know they are both loved and learning.
Tommy also served as Dean of Students and Principal in Residence at A.F. Endeavor Elementary and reduced reactive behavior incidents by 80% by shifting mindsets and empowering teachers to build relationships, view behavior as a form of communication, and create warm academically rigorous classrooms.
Prior to his time at Achievement First, Tommy was a Teach For America corps member in Chicago where he taught Kindergarten and coached cheerleading at Loomis Elementary School. Tommy received his B.A. in Psychology from Baylor University and a M.S. in Early Childhood Education from Dominican University.
